IKB Illustration

The chaos of having our streets turn into construction sites is never welcomed, but for the IKB - Innsbrucker Kommunalbetriebe (Innsbruck Municipal Works), it is often an unfortunate necessity. This illustration aims to bring awareness to the many services they provide which run under our feet, to explain why they sometimes need to dig up the streets to make repairs. IKB is a sponsor of the print magazine, UND (where this illustration originally appeared), which is about "art, everyday life and reflection" and has been published in Innsbruck/Austria since 2015.
